Review of Gaga: Five Foot Two (2017) by Sarah S — 05 Oct 2017
I made it 18 minutes. Really wanted to finally become an organic fan but she is ALWAYS ON. Stefani, Madonna doesn't like you because she can see through you and so can I.
Even 10 minutes into this doc where Gaga had an opportunity to address the whole thing with Madonna, which would have made the entire doc worth it if she did it for real, it's like she wrote a script for it - down to the um's and ah's - to make it appear like she says metaphorical, clever stuff all the time just naturally. I get it, but that's why I've always felt nothing for her.
I see an expert researcher of fame and what has worked. I see a perfectionist performer who knows that an ounce of sweat is worth a pound of talent. I hear Ace of Base in 'Alejandro' and Madonna in 'Born This Way' so I enjoy the songs but appreciate the originals. I even have some of Gaga's music - great for karaoke. But I'll always feel nothing about her.
