Review of Futurama: Bender's Game (2008) by Alan G — 04 Apr 2009
This is the third installment of the movies for Futurama, alot of people liked it the most but I wasn't as keen on it. I'm not saying I didn't like it, just that I liked the others better. It would be last on my pics for the four movie but like I said, still good.
Unlike the second movie, Benders Game has nothing to do with the previous movie and is a story all its own. The long and short of it is that Dark Matter costs are rising and the crew discover that Mom is just raising prices for the fun of it.
The Professor has an anti backwards crystal that if joined to the fire crystal that Mom has then it will turn all dark matter inert. I know, its a stretch but it gets worse, for some reason just as the crystals come close to each other, a stockpile of dark matter that Bender has in his chest cavity creates some weird parallel universe created by Bender as a result of using his imagination.
Yeah I know, its way out there. Probably why I wasn't as keen on this one as the other ones. It really pushed it in terms of making sense. Also, there was no Zap Branigan, one of my favorite characters.
Still it was pretty funny and of course I recommend it if you're a Futurama fan.
