Review of Fury (2014) by Wheelhorse01 — 29 Oct 2014
Fury was a very well told WWII story that depicted the darkness and desperation of some of our greatest generation. Some reviewers were offended by the movie. They would have you believe that in between trying to kill each other, everyone was having tea and reciting bible verses.
While not all men and units sank into the desperate measures shown in this movie, many did. My grandfather told me many horrifying stories of his time in Germany. They were brutal on both sides. The psychological examination of this tank unit is fascinating.
The bonds they formed, and the anger and resentment they held for each other at the same time. No one else on earth knew what they had done, been through, experienced, except for them. They were more than family.
