Review of Fury (2014) by John W — 23 Feb 2017
Fantastic war movie, really captures the grimness of war on the foot soldier level, instead of the grandness of a view from 30,000 ft aka the General's view. I know Ayers did not quite capture his message as well as intended, but I got the idea.
The scene with the German ladies was beautiful in it's own way, and insofar I have seen nothing like it. Oh, and let's not forget fantastic acting and amazing, grim, powerful, action. I, too, was able to forget LaBeouf and Pitt's Hollywood baggage due to how well they dove into their role.
They did their job well, the way it was meant to be. My only complaint is that it could have included more scenes without violence (omitting none of the included ones; AKA keep them), like the tea party, in order to know the tank crew even better.
As it is, fantastic movie, do watch.
