Review of Fur: An Imaginary Portrait of Diane Arbus (2006) by Paul M — 13 Jan 2009
Very odd film but always watchable, the 2 hour running time flies by.
Nicole Kidman is as usual pure class although what the real Diane Arbus was like the film isn't interested, this is proudly a work of fiction.
Downey Jr nicks the film with his incredible performance as the gentle Lionel. Covered from head to foot in thick hair that he uses to make a living creating wigs!
Ok so its basicly just Beauty and the Beast meets Freaks, but quite a charming little film thats worth a look.
