Review of Fur: An Imaginary Portrait of Diane Arbus (2006) by Marissa S — 04 Dec 2011
An imaginary portrait: beautiful imaginations to the fullest. Visually stunning: it grabs your attention from the beginning till end. Diane Arbus is a real person and she was the first american photographer to featured in Venice only after her death: she committed a suicide.
I don't know how closely she resemble to this movie in real-life but the cast did an amazing job portraying her and telling her story. The movie is soft, romantic, touching in a bizzare way yet it stick with you.
Robert Downey is superb: even as a man covered in hair head to toe.
