Review of Funny Ha Ha (2003) by Alison P — 02 Jul 2008
Introductory Mumblecore, that would spawn an entire movement. This dialogue-driven film has likable enough characters, which is not always inherent in a mumblecore indie.
This film is good for any twentysomethings who had felt listless post-college as they decide between a career, graduate school and being a vagabond.
I found myself always wanting to brush Marnie's hair, when I realized that my hair probably looks like that half the time. The actress, Kate Dollenmayer, hasn't done much since this film sadly.
