Review of Funny Games (1997) by Matt R — 02 May 2008
It's like all the bits that are typically left out of a big-budget action film--the sickness that allows people to commit violence and the grief and terror that results when the violence is perpetrated.
What's more, while the psycho-killers are easily judged as "bad" for committing violent acts for their own entertainment, the movie reminds its audience that, ultimately, this cruel and sadistic spectacle is being staged for OUR entertainment.
So, who's psychotic?
