Review of Funny Games (1997) by Oscar T — 07 Aug 2008
Quite possibly the single most disturbing film I have ever seen. The world of unfocused violence you're drawn into will chill you to the core. What's more, you (the observer) become part of the experience as the 'funny games' play out, and the characters begin to interact with you.
An incredible example of what can be accomplished with a relatively low budget. There is no way the remake can ever surpass the original (even with Tim Roth starring and Michael Haneke directing).
