Review of Funny Games (1997) by Beboo G — 09 Jan 2010

I actually don't know what to make of this film. I do think that it is an amazing film and I very much appreciate the efforts and intentions of the directors. but unfortunately, if i'm being very honest, it did not work with me.

I am a person who loves violence especially senseless ones in movies so im thinking I probably belong to haneke's target audience here but it was a very confusing experience for me. sometimes I root for the family but then sometimes I root for the two guys.

the good thing is it did stay with me after. not in a scary sort of way but it still makes me think up until now, so that's good.
