The breaking of the fourth wall is laboured and not really necessary, but of course Haneke's consummate skills as a filmmaker are impossible to ignore, so I did enjoy his attempts to manipulate me.
I guess I'm getting used to him. If nothing else he knows how to create tension. I don't see the point in commenting on the point he was trying to make, it's pretty obvious.
