Review of Funny Face (1932) by Anne L — 25 Sep 2007
It was refreshing to see Hepburn still in the 50s but in COLOR! Not only that, but in a musical, where she is actually doing the singing, even though singing isn't one of her major talents. I love the scenes and just all the sites in Paris that they visit.
I love how Hepburn plays one of those mysterious, hip, intellectual kind of characters, because I can't recall her doing that before. I was actually disappointed with the dance scene in the poetry club place at first.
I guess I just expected more razzle-dazzle, but I still like this movie a lot. I love....love, so of course I like this movie. Audrey is lovely as usual..
