Review of Funny Face (1932) by Jessi T — 13 Nov 2007
This film is absolutely wonderful. The music is fantastic, as are the preformances. Audrey Hepburn is unbearably adorable, as always, and Fred Astaire is ridiculously charming. If it were any other man in the lead role I don't doubt I would'nt give a second's thought to this movie, but Astaire is just marvelous.
The age gap between Hepburn and Astaire is easily overlooked, as the characters make enough of a connection to bridge that gap.
I loved the film, but, then again, I could be biased, being that I'm hopelessly in love with Fred Astaire -- at any age (with or without Ginger, to boot).
