Loose adaptation of Oedipus Rex, and it was said to be one of Kubrick's fav movie and inspired the visual style for "The Clockwork Orange". There were some really detached and whimsical method of narrative to a very grim story.
Peter is absolutely bewitching in the lead role. This film deserves more attention.
