Review of Fullmetal Alchemist the Movie: Conqueror of Shamballa (2005) by Kyla G — 16 Jan 2008

Really good, but not quite as good as the TV series. For something as short as this, though, they managed to pack some good character development in. The most well-developed new character in the movie, though, gets killed off (won't say who!) so the ending was lame.

But it's a bittersweet lame, so it's tolerable. The animation and music are all great, with the exception of one annoying insert song, and we still get manly Roy Mustang goodness. In other words, a satisfying ending for one of the greatest anime series ever created.
