Review of Fullmetal Alchemist the Movie: Conqueror of Shamballa (2005) by Shannon M — 11 Nov 2010
The movie which continues the plot of the original series is filled with lush visuals, and well done action scenes, even if some of the CGI thrown are underwhelming. Fans might not appreciate the bittersweet ending to the franchise, or that most of the supporting characters that gave the series its heart and soul are thrown into the background.
The plot following a pre-dictatorship Adolf Hitler and the Beer Hall Putsch is very inspired, even if it detracts away from the original storyline of the characters. However, film buffs will enjoy the inclusion of director Fritz Lang into the plot.
