Review of Fullmetal Alchemist the Movie: Conqueror of Shamballa (2005) by Darron A — 14 Jun 2008
I kinda liked this movie. While it has the running case of bad Japanese to English dubbing, fans of the series, will be happy (you can make it Japanese with English subs).
The movie takes place after Ed is killed by Envy. The movie swiches between Al (in his human form) and Ed in Germany. Many of the characters are in it, with most being major (Gluttoney turns into a huge freakish monster with multiple arms who gets the crap kicked out of it by Wrath). It's not overly bloody, just the part that I just mentions where Gluttony is being shopped into little pieces can be kinda gruesom.
The movie has completely new enemies. Some of the bad guys in the anime have become good guys in normal world Germany.
There are just 2 things that bother me. One, a lot people die and they have so much blood leaking out of them you'de think they'd have a tube filled with blood attached to them and they exploded due to too much blood. And two, the ending was completely blehg. Nothing in the end was resolved and pretty much left everything worse for the Elric brothers.
Fans should deffinetly chack it out even though all of them probebly already have, so if your into anime, you should see it.
