Review of Full Metal Jacket (1987) by Kyle S — 11 Sep 2014
It is excellently filmed and superbly crafted technically, but the deliberate narrative shift in the middle is jarring and gives a horribly overbearing feeling of disjointedness to the film. That said the first 45 minutes or so contain some of the most powerful psycho-analytical scenes ever committed to celluloid.
