Review of Full Frontal (2002) by Mike K — 15 Sep 2007
I'm really baffled by the harsh reviews of this one. I've watched this thing a couple dozen times and I always notice some new detail that makes me love it even more. The performances are uniformly outstanding -- this film made me realize Julia Roberts can actually act.
Unlike Wes Anderson's movies where the quirky and absurd overpower any emotional truth, this film strikes a perfect balance between humor and pathos. This is one of my favorite films of all time. Soderbergh is a real master of storytelling on film.
