Review of Full Frontal (2002) by Scott K — 08 Feb 2009
Undeniably one of the greatest movies ever made. Within the past months I've seen it 4 times, and could countless times more. New layers keep revealing themselves, and deeper truths resonate. Granted, it is very ironic, and kind of pointless, but at the same time it's also a really deep, meaningful, and insightful film.
It maintains this kind of balance masterfully. The cast needs to be commended for its uniform brilliance. Hell, I can't think of a better cast in a movie, ever. There is so much humanity and subtlety that goes into every word and movement they perform.
The film has so much say about relationships, movies, race, sex, and love, and is so intricately woven that I don't think it's possible for me to ever get tired of it. It's understandable that a film that wasn't marketed with a single frame from the actual movie would be misunderstood, but I strongly urge everyone to see this film with an open mind, or even a closed one.
Just see it. End of rave.
