Review of Fruitvale Station (2013) by Bruce T — 13 Mar 2014
A man tormented by past inclinations, tries to recalculate his position in life for his family and his sanity. Oscar, the man torn, is brilliantly portrayed by Michael B. Jordan, whom can spontaneously drive a performance of a past life riddled with aggression, to the tracks of a loving family man trying to abolish his regret.
The beauty of this film cannot be overlooked. From the simple droning influxes in the score, which immediately immerses the audience into his semi-rage, to the simple language of the casts' eyes during emotionally taxing scenes.
Give this film a wholehearted watch and let the narrative speak for itself.
