Review of Fruitvale Station (2013) by Nathan W — 13 Sep 2014

Important story though I fear there are those who need to see it that won't. The very instruments of the tragedy (bias, stereotyping, negligence, etc.) may restrain some from giving it a chance. I didn't feel as moved as I did after seeing Crash, but maybe that's more of a commentary on how we read and hear about these types of tales repeatedly.

Definitely thought provoking and sure to elicit some emotional reactions (given our current events). Worthwhile film that I hope my students see.
