Review of Fruitvale Station (2013) by Xander K — 27 Jan 2014
As much as any film recently, this movie ripped my heart out. The loss of a potential lifetime of a positive father-daughter relationship really got to me. My own "complaint" was that they made Oscar too fully positive in the 24 hours leading up to his death.
That decision probably had the desired effect on me, but it felt like the character could have been more nuanced.
