This was a pretty compelling film, mainly due to the excellent performance by Jordan. I could not believe I had never heard of the Oscar Grant III shooting as controversial as it is. This film may not be super exciting and it does take a while to kick off, but it is certainly well-made in that one can clearly sense the realism--there is no unnecessary Hollywood dramatization.
