Review of Frozen River (2008) by Fredrick R — 01 Mar 2009
An extremely timely and sobering movie in these post 9-11 harsh economic times. Two single mothers, one white, one Mohawk driven by economic despair to start smuggling illegal aliens across the US-Canadian border.
Unvarnished and gritty, it takes a look at race, class, and border disputes, which most Americans boil down to a US-Mexico problem..
