Review of Frozen River (2008) by Alison P — 14 Mar 2009
It took me a good 45 minutes to get into this slow-building film, which is quite an investment when the film itself is only twice that length. However, when the movie picks up, it roars into overdrive until the end: I was constantly thinking "shit, shit, why are you doing this? This is a terrible idea!" and it remains full-throttled until the end.
