Review of Frozen River (2008) by Mallory R — 23 Mar 2009
A harrowing film about getting by and depending on others. This film felt like a thriller to me and yet was so rooted in the real world. It was hard to watch...but worth getting through.
Terrific performances, great script and minimal direction... I had no real expectations going in, but this kinda blew me away and left me feeling empty and grateful that I am in a better place than these characters.
