Review of Frozen River (2008) by Andrew S — 28 Mar 2009
I really loved the realistic cinematography approach they took with this film. It certainly felt like a slice of someone's life the way it was shot and edited together. I think the barren landscape that it is set in really add's to that feeling.
The performances here are outstanding. I was really moved by Melissa Leto's character and her decision to giver her self up so that her children and friend could have a better life I didn't see that one coming and thought it was very well portrayed.
