Review of Frozen River (2008) by Andrew F — 02 Apr 2009
Frozen River left me feeling completely torn. On one hand, I loved Melissa Leo's performance, the script, and the film's unique story. On the other hand, I hated the production values of the film and the truly amateur performances from everyone other than Leo.
I understand that the movie had an enormously small budget, but these things still really bugged me. Nevertheless, the good outweigh the bad.
