Review of Frozen River (2008) by Aldana V — 25 Mar 2009
After seeing this movie, I don't think I'm as desperate about that house with a backyard and a garden I'm always dreaming about as I thought I was... He he. My tiny apartment is a palace compared to what some people have in life.
.. And yes, sometimes I need to see a movie like this one to remind me of how lucky I am. Other than that, it's a different and interesting view about illegal immigration in the US -around here you usually hear all about the Mexican border, Cuba, China and such, but truth be told, it's the first time I learn about people smuggling across northern indian territories.
I guess I understand what the Oscar nod for best original writing was about.
