Review of Frozen (2013) by Stanley C — 26 Oct 2017
Frozen is amazingly animated and extremely meticulously-drawn in visual detail, but the story is all jumbled and paused for very long times to just to let the musical numbers flow out. I found a lot of the dialogue and characters way too irritating and mockable to sit through in addition to horrendously irrelevant plot details:
* Why does a movie all about ice and a snow princess need rocky ogres?
* The parents get killed off in a matter of seconds.
* Anna spends the movie doing nothing but beg her sister to either play with her or stop the winter.
* "For the First Time in Forever" has extremely bad timing, it seems just about Anna dancing and singing out of joy and happiness after we just watched her grow up a whole childhood lonely and sad.
* I don't find how a musical dance number about seagulls dancing with a snowman with canes and top hats is supposed to be genius.
