Review of Frontier(s) (2007) by Pavel R — 05 Apr 2008
The French new wave continues as our Gallic chums inch their way towards catching up with the Yanks. This is their "Texas Chain Saw Massacre" - set in a countryside crawling with cannibal Nazis, sex-crazed sluts, and cleaver-weilding butchers it's got its phaser set on shock but we've seen all this before.
Thankfully it sustains itself thanks to a complete lack of pretentiousness, a memorable villain, and some pretty nasty grue. Recommended, overall. (By the way, despite what facebook says, this is NOT a PG-13).
