This was a little better European horror movie. The people aren't totally useless and don't just let things happen to them. Its very violent and pretty gory. Its probably not as crazy as you've heard, but its crazier and more brutal then anything thats hit the American screens in a while.
Plus its make up, not CGI horror which is always a plus.
