Review of Frontier(s) (2007) by Micke B — 20 Jul 2008
Criminals on the run escape into the French countryside. And as we all know, the countryside is always dangerous. In this case, the unlucky criminals manage to get themselves caught by a family of inbred, nazi-cannibals! Sadistic viloence and gore galore follows, with shades of Hostel, The Hills Have Eyes and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre.
While the effects are good, the movie lacks suspense and that little extra something to make it worthwhile. Still, a LOT better than Hostel, mind you. If you are in the mood for some ultra-violence, you could do a lot worse than this.
