Review of Frontier(s) (2007) by Jon W — 30 Sep 2008
A pretty good little horror film. I felt that the subject matter had already been covered in similar films (texas chainsaw massacre, house of a 1000 corpses, etc) and that it was hyped up too large on the internet.
I thought that the cinematography was just too.. american. the cuts were jumpy and very modern and left nothing to the imagination. it really fell on it's sword by playing into the cliches of the genre and only had a few truly original gore moments, which were fairly disappointing.
overall, not a stellar outing but a solid 3 star slash fest.
