Review of Frontier(s) (2007) by Thomas M — 09 Jun 2010
Looks great and carries clumps of shock in its gore bucket, but the lasting impression stops there. The cast is "young walking targets" vs. "country-gothic neo-nazi cannibals," and the plot is bookended by the irrelevant election of some right-wing French politician.
Should have traded the tone-deaf social commentary for better characterization; otherwise, perfectly watchable misery.
