Review of From Russia with Love (1963) by André G — 17 May 2009
This is apparently regarded as one of the best Bond films, but it didn't manage to distinguish itself enough from the other early ones I've seen. There is a notable shootout at a gypsy camp which was amusing enough, but the climactic train scenes weren't as suspenseful as close-quarters espionage should be.
Also, Blofeld is, I think, a goofy character, so his presence doesn't help. Decent.
