Review of From Russia with Love (1963) by Benjamin C — 28 Nov 2010
With an improved gun barrel sequence, pre-title sequence, and title song, From Russia With Love starts off great. Critically, the plot lacks compared with Fleming's source material, as does the musical score.
The cinematography is an improvement over Dr. No, though. While the main characters, including Connery's Bond, hover only just above average, the film as a whole is one of the most enjoyable in the series.
