Review of From Russia with Love (1963) by Mark H — 04 Dec 2012
The first 30 minutes are the best kind of condensed camp, then the movie switches gears into a more serious kind of spy movie (the train almost refuses to end) before shaking things up in the last 30 minutes.
If "Dr. No" was the fresh-faced intro to the franchise, this is the confident swagger that takes full advantage of the genre it's helping to invent.
