Review of From Russia with Love (1963) by Simon N — 25 Dec 2012
Connery remains the pinnacle of Bond performers, but this one suffers from having a female lead that is not a love interest, but absolutely obsessed with 007. Bond's interactions with Tatiana fail to border even on the seamy, while the villains are woefully underdeveloped even for this series.
As much credit as this one deserves for introducing Bond staples galore, the film itself is not among the best.
