Review of From Russia with Love (1963) by Benny B — 09 Mar 2013
The second installment in the EON productions is not as good as the first.
Made back when the production budget didn't allow for mystery, so if you we're shot on camera you had to whip out ye olde ketchup sachet and vigorously rub on the affected area, all the while Bond is traipsing around Istanbul with a bunch of pikeys I fookin 'ate pikeys, in an attempt to recover a Lector Decoder (i assume no relation to hannibal) from some Russian woman defecting against SPECTRE!
This is also the first appearance of Frau Farbissina (Number 3) who is Doctor Evils sidekick...
The bad guy in this case is apparently the leader of the Aryan Nation!
Let's hope the films get better as I go along...
I give this film 2 ketchup sachets out of 5.
