Review of From Russia with Love (1963) by Kevin G — 13 May 2013
From Russia With Love is tight. It's chugs along like a train. There are no wasted moments, no wasted beats. The performances are awesome, the fight sequences are pulse-racing, the gadgets are cool and don't seem over-the-top or ridiculous.
I want to point out the highlights, but it would just be naiming every sequence in the movie. Connery is in top form; thete is good reason the Bond-Tatyana bedroom sequence is the Bond audition piece.
The gypsy camp sequence never ceases to be exciting and the train fight with Grant has not been topped (as train fights go). There isn't much bad to say about this movie.
