Review of From Here to Eternity (1953) by Niki S — 17 Oct 2008
This film is 55 years old & I can certainly see my grandparents' generation in it. Lovely, earnest people, however, the characters never really gelled for me. Most of the feelings were built on their own projected flimsy emotions and ended disasterously.
I guess I'm not a romantic.
