I am a fan of Fred Zinnemann! I have only seen two movies by him, this and a man for all seasons but I look forward to more of his work. This was just incredible from the opening frame to the very end.
top notch performances by the whole cast and the writing was spellbinding. deborah kerr's character was so well done from the writing to the acting as well. the shots are so memorable they will last with me till the day I die.
a great movie and a must watch for anyone who has not seen it.
