Review of From Hell (2001) by Roanne F — 24 Aug 2009
Thought I might enjoy this, but it wasn't the Jack the Ripper story I was looking for. It was a little unnecessarily raunchy, too. Plus, the predictability of the outcome and the identity of the famous killer put a damper on the "big reveal.
" I saw it coming a mile away. Both of the surprises were ones I figured out easily. However, the acting was decent and the story fairly engaging. Just not what I was hoping for. This would get two and a half stars from me but I threw in a full three stars for Johnny Depp.
