Review of From Beyond the Grave (1974) by Art S — 09 Oct 2014
One of those British horror anthologies that used to be popular but which now feel a bit like 1970's TV programs (albeit with some extra fake blood thrown around upon occasion). There are four stories here, all "introduced" with short scenes featuring Peter Cushing as a creepy antique dealer: 1) a man buys an antique mirror that turns out to have a spirit trapped inside; 2) a hen-pecked man befriends a mysterious man and his creepy daughter; 3) a man is plagued by an invisible spirit on his neck that a wacky medium helps him remove; and 4) a man buys an ornate door that leads to a deadly ghost room.
No real chills but engaging enough.
