Review of From Afar (2015) by Adriano C — 09 Jun 2016
A Haneke-esque drama with an elliptical narrative, and a brutal ending that's mostly well-earned through the film's deliberately slow pace. It's been done before and done better, but From Afar will reward patient filmgoers (as well as those who might be more privy to its social commentary on Venezuela).
