Review of Fright Night (2011) by Jesse S — 20 Jul 2012
Funny and scary - and sometimes both at once - it lives up to the original, even if it fails to surpass it. Of course its nowhere near the awesomeness of the original, but it still has an energy of its own that makes it an enjoyable flick that plays by the old school vampire rules.
Sure I may have some biased based upon the fact that I'm comparing this film to the original, but it is still good for a viewing. The cast on the other hand is way better than the original and the special effects are pretty decent.
Horror and comedy is a great mix and this is no different. If you like this sort of stuff then this is the film for you. Wit some great witty and gory moments. Not for everyone but then what film is? A funny example is David Tennant's character trying to shoot Colin Farrell with his stake gun, then it breaks.
.."Damn Ebay!!". Great script, funny, gory, awesome. Check it out.
