Review of Fright Night (1985) by Ross B — 28 Oct 2010
A fun 80s teen horror film that while not scary still packs excitement. The film stars William Ragsdale as a teen who believes that his next door neighbor (Chris Sarandon) is a vampire. With the help of his girlfriend (Amanda Bearse) and his best friend (Stephen Geoffreys) they attempt to stop him.
Although the character who steals every scene he is in is TV personality Peter Vincent played by Roddy McDowall. Vincent is a late night horror show host who is roped into the scenario because his character on TV claims to be the world's greatest vampire hunter.
The film in the end is very 80s but that is what is endearing about it. If you are looking for a film that has horror elements but not too scary, check this film out.
