Review of Fright Night (1985) by Cade H — 17 Feb 2015

I saw the remake of this movie awhile back and I must say, this original is much better and definitely a fun horror flick. It mixed nicely a scary atmosphere with a light hearted yet serious at times, take on a vampire living next door.

The special effects were weak because it was from the 80's but everything around them was interesting and kept up beat throughout. It had a modern flair to it and it was neat to see all the old vampire cliques play into the plot.

I did not expect much going into the film but this was definitely worth the watch and good classic horror movie that stands out from most in the time period.
